Experienced travellers, we travel internationally, caring for clients' homes, pets and businesses. We provide a provide a high quality pet and house sitting service for caring professionals like us, and have experience of caring for a wide variety of pets and domestic animals, and of managing a wide variety of properties, and their associated staff and equipment.

We will care for and love your animals, your garden and your home too, and will treat all with respect and care, as we would our own. We can give your pet a great holiday whilst you enjoy yours. We are experienced and specialise in providing loving care for elderly, healthy or sick animals, rescued, partially sighted, senile, and other conditions, and are happy to administer medication and provide for all their needs in your absence, whether you're away for a day, a week, a month, or a year.
NOTE: We are currently working in France, and are happy to sit for clients anywhere in the world. Currently sitting for a client in the Loire region of France, we are available to sit anywhere in the world.
Why we do this: We love to travel, and find house and petsitting to be a wonderful way of integrating into a new community and culture whilst traveling. We learn a lot from our experiences. We particularly love petsitting, because we had our own cat and our own dog, for 18 and 15+ years respectively. We love the company of animals of all kinds! We travel because we are self employed, freelancing in writing and graphic design, and travel feeds our minds, our souls, our creativity and our portfolio.
We are: We are a qualified personal trainer and a writer, providing editorial writing and photography for magazines and online publications, copywriting, editing and designing websites for creatives and other professionals, as well as working on a number of fiction projects.
A former experienced customer care and hospitality manager, and a former university lecturer, course director and research fellow, aged 49 & 50 we love travel and the company of pets, and combine the two through house and pet sitting. We also have business sitting experience, and have run B&Bs, gites, and managed a range of self catering and tourist accommodation. We find it to be a great way to travel, and to meet people. We have made many new friends and discovered some wonderful places this way. Instead of travelling as tourists, we get to be part of the local community and we embrace that aspect of our house sitting enthusiastically.
What we're looking for: We are seeking the opportunity to make a mutual exchange with you. You will get caring, respectable and honest animal and home-loving homesitters [we sit businesses too as well as pets and homes]. We will get to experience new countries and regions, and meet new people. Through housesitting, we get to know new areas, countries and cultures, which feeds into our creative work and into our life experience. travel really does broaden the mind, and open up new possibilities and potential in us all! We like to have a little space to practice yoga, as we are on the path to training to be yoga teachers, so we take our yoga seriously.
What we ask for in exchange for our services: Due to the nature of our travel and work, we will require access to a broadband internet connection [note: we travel with our own laptop, so won't use your computer or other technology]. That's it. We seek a fair exchange with you. If there is a business element to the sit, then obviously we will negotiate a charge with you as appropriate to the required services.
We are highly experienced pet and home sitters [references available], partners for over 26 years. We are highly experienced, confident and skilled in all relevant aspects of pet and home care. We have cared for a wide range of properties and situations across Europe, and are off to Japan on one of our sits in 2011. We have cared for an old Turkish house in Chania old town, Crete, a manor house and gites in Brittany, a masseria in Puglia, fincas in Andalucia, villas in Crete and the Costa Tropical, farmhouses in Charente, County Cork and South Wales, thatched houses in Devon, and waterfront properties in Dorset, along with bungalows and apartments. We have clients across Europe and in Asia, and references available to anyone wishing to book us.
We know how to use and manage various types of swimming pool, log burner, peat burner, open fire, central heating of all types, air conditioning, along with the associated variations in water, sewage, electrical supply and cultural differences found when travelling internationally. You can have every confidence in us. We are also security conscious and count a police officer and an qualified vet amongst our regular clients and referees. We have experience with a wide range of pets and domestic animals, and have particular skill and personal experience in the welfare, care, medication and feeding of elderly and infirm pets too.
We have so far worked with cats, dogs, hamsters, rabbits, guinea pigs, goldfish, parrots, chickens, ducks, turkeys, pigs, sheep and humans! [we have also run various businesses as part of our housesitting duties – we charge for business sitting]
We can provide a reference from a vet [she was our own vet, and is a client of ours] on our ability to care well for your pets. We have been police checked too. We have experienced living in, managing and caring for a range of property types, with particular skill and experience in rural properties, small holdings, open fires, log burners, peat-stoves, wells etc. We also have experience of managing and caring for holiday accommodation, small campsites, small bed & breakfast establishments, and smallholdings.
We will care for and love your animals, your garden and your home as we would our own. We can give your pets a great holiday whilst you enjoy yours. We are experienced, energetic, loving, friendly, and fun for your animals to be with. We truly care. We'll keep in touch with you if required, by phone, text, email, and can send picture messages or emails with pictures of your pets enjoying their usual way of life in your absence. Your pet's routine will be as you wish it to be in your absence, we won't change things unnecessarily. We will give our undivided attention and loving care to your pets 24/7 throughout the sit. We won't be taking a holiday at your home...that's what we do between sits!
What we can do for you. We are able to manage your home, garden, pets, pool, vehicle, and even your business, although we do charge for business sitting. We are capable house sitters and managers, and can handle any unexpected events that may occur in your absence easily, leaving you to enjoy your time away. We have managed storm damage, roof leaks and other events, and have experience of liaising with insurance companies, building firms and contractors in the absence of home owners and clients. We can manage your telephone calls, mail and bills for you if required.

We do not charge for our house or pet sitting services. For care taking and for business sitting we do charge, contact us for information, with details of your requirements. We will provide your pets and home with loving high quality care, and in exchange is for you to allow us use of your internet connection so we can maintain our business, as we work online from your home. We travel with our own computer equipment, and although we gave up our own vehicle to make our travel easier to clients, clients often leave a vehicle suitable for us to take their pets out and about in, or for trips to veterinary care etc.
